Coming Up*...

"Last Wednesday Apèro" -  at 18.00 to 19.30 on the last Wednesday of each month. An informal chat and a drink at a different venue each time.

The Collioure Couleurs - A light projection takes place at 18h30 and 20h00 on every Friday and Saturday from 6th to 31st December. We are proposing a visit to Collioure to see the lights on Friday, 6th December. We can meet at Les Templiers at 18h00 for a drink and then either watch the lights at 18h30 or 20h00.

Resto Coeur Christmas Party. -We have supported the Resto Coeur in Port Vendres and Perpignan for several years. They offer both a food bank and support and advice to families and individuals in need across the Cote Vermeille. For some years the children of Banyuls have prepared Christmas gifts for the children of supported families, and we have been asked to help organise a Christmas Party for this event. The chosen date is Monday 23 December so I know many of you will be away, but if you are here and you could spare a little time to help with this event (eg with catering or helping to run the event) please let us know. Planning will be taking place through November. We are also looking for a children's entertainer (magician, clown...)

VO films at Vauban cinema, Port-Vendres

Recipe Book - featuring favourite recipes from our members, the booklet is on sale now.  We have ordered more of our excellent Recipe Books, having sold all the first 100, and they have just arrived, so get your orders to us as soon as you can.

VI Groups - As the association grows, a variety of separate groups representing different activities are emerging, so if you are keen on any of the groups, let us know.

Russian: The small group of Russian speakers meets in Port Vendres on Fridays at 1500 for conversation and coffee when Tanya is here. Contact Linda for details.

Spanish: Carol Fraine has offered to lead a Spanish conversation group on Thursday afternoons if you want to go along. Again, contact Linda for details of venue. (Beginners level, but more advanced also possible.)

English: I'm sorry not to have made more progress here. The idea is to meet for an hour or so for a chance for conversation practice. I shall be sending out a short podcast in the coming days to give a theme to get us started. This is not a beginners' group, but a chance to polish up language skills that may be a little rusty.

Bird Watching: I send out occasional information to those who are interested in the birds of this area. If you would like to receive these emails, let me know.
